Protecting the iPhone against liquids and dirt is another concern with using the Pumper’s Friend iPhone software in the field. It turns out there are a number of solutions, including the Aquapac Case in the picture. Numerous YouTube videos and reviews show this case to be adequate for protection against liquids, and even submersion.
The case allows for easy insertion and extraction of the iPhone through a watertight seal. A lanyard can be attached to hang the case around the neck, but caution must be used around machinery. That is also the main reason that pumpers don’t wear neckties.
The case allows the iPhone to be easily controlled through the plastic, and also lets you receive and make phone calls through the case. The camera can even take pictures or movies through the case.
